About
As a designer I am on a relentless pursuit to create products and experiences that speak to the human experience and shape our future interactions within our world. Leveraging my background in Human-Computer Interaction and Psychology, I've worked across a range of industries covering robotics, entertainment, health and communications.
Prior to joining IDEO as a Designer Researcher now Senior Interaction Designer, I've worked at Google, AT&T Foundry, and Outlaw Ink.
I've been extremely lucky to work on projects that elevate and shape the human experience through beautiful, and thoughtful design. From products that bring families together and encourage imagination, to digital experiences that support healthy behaviors through discovery and play. I've also been grateful to have worked with small and large multi-disciplinary teams rigorously exploring new services, as well as teams who have spent weeks prototyping through wicked, fuzzy design challenges for emerging technologies
As a result of who I've worked for and the clients I have worked with, most of my work is confidential -- which is why this "portfolio" is only home to the very raw, unfinished ideas that accidentally wander into my head. These "Design Nuggets" range from new business ideas to small features, but all of them aim to solve some life annoyance. If you would like to talk more about my design process or my story, please reach out.
“Jarad is a rare combination of a leader and a “do”er. By the time the team has decided on direction, you’ll find Jarad already creating to deliver on the vision. I would be confident going into any client meeting with Jarad by my side.”
